Clips
Customers tend to make purchasing decisions based equally on the external characteristics of comparable products and on the internal qualities of the product itself. Therefore, the packaging of a product may be as important as the product itself. Genpacking offers clips that will complement your products' design and make it more attractive to the potential customers.
Continuous Clips
As your production expands to more than 5 tons of product per day, you may consider using automatic clipping machines, which use mostly continuous clips. These clips are available, depending on the type, either on plastic reels or without, with additional adapters. Each reel or box contains anywhere from 2500 to 5000 pieces. This allows for a continuous production process, which results in products of equal and consistent quantities.
Clip characteristics and dimensions are encoded in the model, for example Model: 18 09/5x2.0
-
1st pair - step of clips, can be 12, 15, 18 mm. More common in increments of 15 and 18 mm.
-
2nd pair - height of legs. Maybe 04, 05, 06, 07, 08, 09, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 mm. The most common are 07, 08, 009, 10, 11, 12 mm.
-
3rd digit - width of clip: 3, 4, 5 mm.
-
4th digit - thickness of the clips. Maybe 1,0 1.25, 1,5, 1.75, 2.0, 2.2, 2.25, 2,5. The most common are: 1,5, 1.75, 2,0, 2,2 (or 2,25), 2,5
Recommendation for use of continuous clips
U-Shaped Clips
The production process should be organized considering the following factors:
-
Specific products (sausage, poultry, dairy, etc.)
-
Factory capacity (number of products requiring packaging)
-
Characteristics of the selected type of shell or packaging, etc.
Each type of automatic or manual clipper requires specific type of clips. Some of the characteristics of a typical clip are:
-
Size (width, height, thickness)
-
A form of cross-sections (circular, trapezoidal)
-
The presence of notches or curling
-
Hardness (soft "BT" solid "T", the increased hardness "DST")
Clips are made with different types of curling: a point, a cross, etc. At the request of the customer and for clipping of easily damaged shells we offer clips without curling. Different types of curling are used to clip sausage casings of multilayer polyamide and tender (protein) casings. Clips can be further processed with a special compound that protects both: the matrix clipper on impact as well as the shell from the damage.
